Giving At Grace Chapel Global Methodist Church
"Take nothing for your journey," he instructed them. "Don't take a walking stick, a traveler's bag, food, money, or even a change of clothes." - Luke 9:3
We believe that giving is not so much about keeping the doors of the church open as it is about putting ourselves into situations that allow us to see and experience God in our lives in strong and powerful ways. Jesus sent His disciples out two-by-two... without money, without food, without clothing. He sent them out in a posture that forced them to rely totally and completely on God's provision... if God didn't show up... things weren't going to end well. And God showed up.
God wants the same from us... that we come to the point in our lives where our faith grows to the point where we can totally rely on Him. In today's world, the best way to accomplish that is through giving... returning a part of what God has given us to further His work and build our faith.
